Weigel - portrait of 18C lady


This miniature portrait is a well painted copy of a 18C miniature. It is signed "Weigel", but there were several artists of this name active in the late 19C. 357

ELISABETH DE FRANCE, DITE MADAME ELISABETH (1764-1794) (Sister of King Louis XVI), by Elisabeth Louise VIGEE-LE BRUN, c. 1782. (Often copied) Original is housed at Versailles, Musee National du Chateau.
